grant uk: r290 product launch
We’ve worked with Grant UK for years, and their marketing team never fails to impress — sharp, creative and always up for a proper collaboration. So when they briefed us to create a video content strategy to launch their new R290 heat pump, we were all in.
THE THINKING
We wanted to create something that cut through the noise. Everyone’s talking about heat pumps — but no one’s really saying why they matter. So we flipped the script. Before diving into product features or government grants, we focused on the why.
Why should a homeowner care? Because this is an investment in comfort, lower bills, and a smaller footprint. Why should an installer care? Because this is next-gen tech that’s future-proofed, reliable, and built with their customers in mind.
We planned for two distinct audiences — consumer and installer — and built a suite of video content designed to live everywhere: trade shows, social feeds, websites, sales decks, you name it.
Timing was tight and the unit wasn’t ready to film, so we brought it to life using a high-quality 3D model — dropped into real homes and animated to showcase every key feature. No filler, just sharp, useful, strategic content.
The whole approach? Impact first. Story first. Strategy always. Everything built around a single goal: show people not just what this product is, but why it matters.
THE BRIEF
The team at Grant wanted to show off the R290’s unique design, its quality engineering, and why it’s the smart choice — especially with that £7K government grant on the table. All while keeping it design-led, on brand and built for multiple audiences.
The big challenge? The product wasn’t ready to film until 10 days before launch.
THE OUTPUT
We created a full suite of content for the R290 launch — seven short films, each telling a different part of the story. From performance and design to accessibility and environmental impact, every film was built for a specific audience and platform, with tailored edits for social, web and event use.
The headline piece? A bold, graphics-led film for the Installer Show, made entirely from renders and motion design — built to work with or without sound and grab attention from across the exhibition floor.
The result? The films lit up the GrantUK stand, pulled in footfall, and stood out across the hall. They’ve since been rolled out across social and web — driving strong engagement.
