ZENZIC: ROBOTIZ3D

What’s the best way to explain the workings behind a new innovation or piece of technology? Well, it’s video of course.

THE THINKING

We knew that this B-roll had value for both Zenzic, and the SMEs beyond the films we were producing. As a result, as part of the deliverable content, we supplied each SME with a set of graded B-roll footage from the filming day, ready for them to access and re-use.


One of the SMEs,
Robotiz3d were approached by the BBC for a story they were running on potholes, and were interested in the autonomous pothole detection and repair system that they were developing. We were able to provide this footage, via our bespoke platform arcd. cloud which greatly facilitated the process of putting the news report together. This ended up engaging not only a domestic audience, but an international one. Zenzic’s PR company estimate that Robotiz3d achieved the equivalent of a £1.3m media spend from this activity, and over 5 billion views!

THE BRIEF

Our brief was to film the development journey of 4 SMEs in the Connected and Autonomous Mobility sector. This resulted in a film about each SME, and one overview film.


Filming in a variety of locations that are part of the CAM Testbed UK network, we were able to gather a range of content, including drone, that formed the B-roll for the films.

THE OUTPUT

According to Lisa Layzell, co-founder and CEO of Robotiz3d:


“The biggest value we got out of the first round of the CAM Scale-Up UK program was the marketing collateral that the program generated for us. In particular the video footage. It's been used as the base material for a number of media coverage, for example, the BBC One show, which reported our collaboration with Hertfordshire County Council. From there the media report was picked up by not just national media in the UK but also world media, and it got us a lot of awareness from around the world. We had an enormous amount of inquiries that had been driven to our website.”
